I love this book, and the rest of the Weetzie Bat series. I hope Ms. Block receives good publicity and sales revenue from this ridiculous incident.

Wow! Baby BeBop was one of my favorite books back in junior high. I'm in college now, but I still remember how sensitively Francesca Lia Block handled issues of burgeoning sexuality, abuse, drugs, etc. She never shied away from difficult and grown up issues in her books, and she never lied about them. I felt like her books, while fantastical and fun, also gave me a rational, unbiased, and unromanticized look at the major issues in teen life.
